All,

   The pickup time will be 2015-2030 on Saturday night.  For our
scouts < 1st Class, we will be finishing the totin' chit so the will
be allowed to carry a pocket knife after this campout (assuming they
attend).  I have a few recommendations regarding knife selection if
they don't have one already.

- above all the knife should be comfortable to hold and easy to operate.
- buy a full size knife: small handles slip easier and cause accidents.
- bright colors are easier to find when they drop it (not if).
- the knife must have a locking mechanism to keep it open.
- sharper is safer
- there's no shame in a lanyard, but not all knives will accomodate
them. It's better to get one that does than buy another one later.
- blade should be between 2"-3" but 3 is better.

If they don't have a knife I will have some for them to use.
