Aquia District Unit Leaders:   Are your Scouts looking to get outdoors
over the spring break and provide service back to the community?  Now
that the warmer weather is coming, it's time to make sure the trails at
nearby Prince William Forest Park (PWFP) are cleared and open for
hiking.  The Potomac Appalachian Trail Club, which maintains the PWFP
trails, is looking for volunteers on Saturday, 22 Mar, from 9:30 am to
3:00 pm, to help clear weeds and other debris along the South Valley
Trail.  Wear hiking boots and dress for the weather; bring water, lunch,
and leather work gloves.  Meet at the Visitor's Center parking lot at
9:30 am.  Scouts younger than age 12 should be accompanied by an adult,
and be able to hike 4 miles.  Family members are welcome.
