========================================
Hello-

My name is Maureen Waters and I work with the United States Mint.

Per my phone call today, I wanted to spell out the details of the Thomas Jefferson $1 Coin launch that we'd like to invite the Boy Scouts to attend.

Below, please find all the information about the United States Mint event on August 15. We would love to have as many Boy Scouts attend as possible. Please feel free to call me or send me an e-mail with any questions. I'd love to hear from you soon regarding how many Boy Scouts you think you'll be able to bring. This should be a great event, and much fun for all who come!

Thanks so much and I look forward to hearing back from you!

Best,
Maureen Waters

Event Details:

WHAT:

Thomas Jefferson Presidential $1 Coin press conference and coin exchange

WHEN: Wednesday, August 15
        11 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. press conference/media moment
        11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. coin exchange
*the Boy Scouts should arrive at the Jefferson Memorial at 10:30 a.m.
and will most likely be finished about noon

WHERE: The steps of the Jefferson Memorial

WHY: The United States Mint is launching the newest coin in the Presidential $1 Coin series. The third coin, featuring Thomas Jefferson, will go into nationwide circulation on August 16, but this event gives D.C.
residents and tourists the opportunity to receive their own Thomas Jefferson $1 Coin a day early.

The Boy Scouts will receive white, Thomas Jefferson wigs to wear, Declaration of Independence replicas and their own Thomas Jefferson $1 Coin. They may also bring additional $1 bills to exchange during the coin exchange portion of the event.

There will be media in attendance, so I don't know if that requires anything on your part in relation to waivers for the kids should they appear on camera.
