Free Trees for Spring Tree Planting Project for Troops, Crews and Packs!

The Virginia Cooperative Extension is providing FREE TREES for Boy Scout Troops, Venture Crews and Cub Scout Packs to plant anywhere in the Chesapeake Bay watershead area.  This is project is units to get out there and plant seedlings in parks and neighborhood spaces.  Utlimately these trees are replacing trees lost to storms and aging and will help maintain the health of our local environment and the Chesapeake Bay.  

The seedlings will be delivered to us on Thursday March 29th and need to be planted as soon as possible (by mid to late April).   

Trees and quantities available:   
Black Walnut 100; 
Persimmon 250; 
Pin Oak 250 and 
White Oak 300.
