  Below is a listing of Community Events where Scouts have been invited. All of these are opportunities for service hours, and provide recruitment opportunities. I can provide you with more information.

March 23 – YMCA Healthy Kids Day at the Massad YMCA on Butler Road. Help is most critically needed from 7:30 AM – 10:00 AM at Pratt Park where the 5K and Kids Fun Run will be held. Helpers are needed for set-up, manning water stations, and clean-up. Contact Suzanne Surles at Sulesgrlz at cox.net or 540-295-7900 (cell) 540-372-4467 (home). She’ll be the one in the Fredericksburg Parents polo shirt that Saturday morning.

March 31- Eggsplosion at Curtis Park, sponsored by the Stafford Parks and Rec. 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM. They need volunteers for set-up, clean-up, crafts for kids, activities within the program, walk with the Easter Bunny, helping entertainers, greeting kids, directing people to activities, setting up and assisting with the egg hunt, etc. POC is Sarah King.

May 5: Teen Summit at JMHS, sponsored by the Fredericksburg Boys and Girls Club.

June 7: DARE Day, Pratt Park

June 2: Stafford Family Film Festival at Curtis Park, sponsored by Stafford Parks and Rec.

Also remember that the Church is our Charting Organization and there are several areas where the scouts have service opportunities.
