Parents and Adult Leaders,

As we discussed at the parent's meeting on 7 Sep 06, we are
planning to go skiing in January (12-15). The cost per Scout will be
$200. 1/2 of this amount must be sent to Timberline to hold our
reservations. At this point I need to know if any scouts WILL NOT
attend, and what Parents/Adult Leaders WILL attend (men or women may be
accommodated). There is no minimum number of participants for Boy Scout
groups anymore, so we will offer it to the congregation only one time.
My intent is to send our reservation hold payment no later than 2
October. According to Timberline that weekend is "filling up fast."
Please be prepared to pay $100 per scout, and $200 per non-scout
attendee (unless you would like to take advantage of the reduced rate
for non-skiing chaperones and knitters of ~$60 to cover meals and
lodging). The fee for scouts may be reduced to $0 based on your scouts
participation in fundraising activities. The specific amount you have
to pay will be emailed to you Saturday night on 30 Sep 06 after our
second fundraising event. The fee for adult leaders is to be determined
by the committee. Payment for reservations will be due on Sunday, 1
October 2006 and will be collected by myself before the service. I will
show up 15 minutes early and post myself in the lobby. Make all checks
payable to NLCC and put Scouts in the memo.
Non-scouting attendees may elect to stay in the surrounding
towns or rent a house on the slope. The closest town is Davis, WV.
