Parents,

-	Photos: Camp photos will be taken the first day (while they are
clean). 5X7s are $7 and 8X10s are $9. Please bring cash for the number
of photos you want and give it to me on Sunday 23 July in an envelope
that has your name and how many photos of each type you want on it.

-	Merit badge sign-up sheet: Please sit down with your scout and
work out a primary and an two alternates for each time slot. I don't
recommend signing up for the handicraft badges because most of them can
be completed in a day or two, and handicraft is always open so the boys
can complete 2 or 3 of those in their spare time. Some merit badges
take more than one slot, have prerequisites or cost money. Please use
the prerequisite sheet to determine if this is true. Once you have
determined what merit badges your son would like to do, please print a
clean copy, and circle the ones you want with a star next to the first
choice.
For Sam, Ryan, and Robert I would recommend the "Trailhead"
program. That will include 2 merit badges, and there are more they can
do in their spare time.
For the other boys except Connor they will need 3 Eagle required
and 2 other badges for Star Scout. They all already have 1st Aid. They
should focus on Eagle required badges since they can easily pick up two
more in their spare time.

-	Gear List: The individual scout gear list is attached.

- Menu: The meal menu is attached. I don't know of any dietary
restrictions in the troop, but if there are, please let me know.

-	Transportation: Directions are attached. We will plan to leave
the church at 0900 on Sunday the 23rd of July, and arrive back between
1200 and 1400 on Saturday 29 July. The trip is about 150 miles and 3.5
hours. We will take 2 10-minute bathroom breaks and 1 30-minute lunch
break. Scouts are welcome to bring a sack lunch or money for a
fast-food stop.

-	Emergency Contact: Cell phones will not work at camp. The camp
director can be called at 540-997-1288 in the event of an emergency.

If you have any question please call me at 703-441-3575 or 540-623-6740.

YIC,

Chris
