Joining our troop

Your son can be a Scout if:

1. he is at least 11 years old.

2. he has earned the Arrow of Light Award and is at least 10 years old.

3. he has completed the fifth grade and is at least 10 years old.

Your son cannot be a scout if:

1. he is 18 or more years old.  There are scouting programs for boys 18 and older.  Please see the Venturing program at the national council website.

How to Join our troop:

1. Call or email the scoutmaster and verify a time to visit.  Even though we meet on Thursdays, some weeks we do not have meetings or may be away from our normal meeting place.
2. Visit our troop to see if it is right for you.  There are many troops in Stafford, and each has its own personality.  Nobody knows what your child needs better than you, so shop around.
3. Fill out the application and return it to any adult leader.
